L’Inde<\/b>\u00a0 est un pays d’Asie du Sud qui occupe la majeure partie du sous-continent indien. Sa capitale est New Delhi. L’Inde est le deuxi\u00e8me pays le plus peupl\u00e9 et le septi\u00e8me pays le plus grand du monde. Le littoral indien s’\u00e9tend sur plus de sept mille kilom\u00e8tres.\u00a0<\/p>

Le sous-continent indien a abrit\u00e9 de vastes empires et est pr\u00e9sent sur les routes commerciales d\u00e8s l’Antiquit\u00e9. L’Inde est la terre de naissance de quatre religions majeures \u2014\u00a0l’hindouisme, le ja\u00efnisme, le bouddhisme et le sikhisme\u00a0\u2014 alors que le zoroastrisme, le christianisme et l’islam s’y sont implant\u00e9s durant le Ier<\/sup><\/abbr> mill\u00e9naire. L’hindouisme y est la religion majoritaire avec environ 80\u00a0% de fid\u00e8les. L’Inde est aujourd’hui un pays tr\u00e8s divers sur le plan religieux, linguistique et culturel.<\/p>

En 2017, l’\u00e9conomie indienne est la septi\u00e8me du monde en PIB nominal et la troisi\u00e8me en PIB \u00e0 parit\u00e9 de pouvoir d’achat. L’Inde, pays \u00e0 forte croissance \u00e9conomique, est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un nouveau pays industrialis\u00e9. Cependant certains probl\u00e8mes comme la pauvret\u00e9, l’analphab\u00e9tisme ou la corruption restent tr\u00e8s importants. Les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de revenus sont en augmentation.<\/p>
